This online programme provides access to high quality educational tools and specialised information on how to carry out telephone triages and consultations within most clinical areas.
Whether you’re new to telephone healthcare or an experienced tele triager, our E-learning course will support you in understanding what is involved in this highly specialised skill area. Many clinicians carry out telephone triages and consultations without being appropriately trained, relying on their experience in dealing with patients face-to-face instead. However, telephone assessments are completely different and carry huge risks for the patient and the clinicians, so they require specific knowledge and skills.
The Telephone Triage Skills Online Training Programme is made up of three modules, each of which can be purchased separately. However, it is recommended that to achieve the full learning potential that all 3 modules are purchased, as each module may refer to content from the other modules.

The Order Process
Once you have placed your order, you will receive two emails, one will be your order confirmation, and the other will include your login details enabling you to login to our Learning Management System to view your e-learning course. The Telephone Triage & Consultation Skills E-Learning Programme has been designed to lead the learner through the various areas of telephone triages and consultations; from the benefits and risks, how to manage the risks and how to take a call from beginning to end, to clinical governance arrangements, documentation standards and medico-legal issues which may be encountered. The programme features an excellent mixture of interactive elements and differing formats to keep the learner stimulated. It contains both textual and audio information, so speakers or earphones are recommended.
The programme consists of three modules, which have been designed to capture specific areas of learning. Although they can be purchased separately, the modules are interlinked and often reference each other, so purchasing the complete programme is advisable. Each module has a knowledge test, which on successful completion, provides the option of requesting a CPD certificate.
This E-learning programme is accessed online and can be picked up and left at any time, with the option of reading the information as many times as required. This means that busy healthcare professionals can complete the programme in their spare time. Once purchased, the programme is available indefinitely. Depending on the learner’s style, the full programme will take 3 hours to complete. Individual modules will take between 30 and 60 minutes to complete.
